It is such an honour to be recognised in this way by my alma mater. I had such a life- affirming experience at Berklee and still count my peers there as some of my closest friends and collaborators. Irish Women in Jazz came about in no small part, due to the great support network I had around me during my studies and the lack I felt when I returned home. I hope IWIJ can continue to grow and be the necessary community support that we so desperately need. Thank you Berklee College of Music, Berklee Valencia and Berklee Alumni for this great honour.
